This is the first thing I've made since graduation that I'd actually consider to be "art." I have lots of sketches of random tentacles coming out of random things and my friend Shiho thought they were hilarious. She off handedly mentioned that she'd love to have a giant poster of one of the drawings, so I made one!
I took a picture of my line sketch and traced in Illustrator CS3. From there I exported it to Photoshop CS3 and colored it. The original image is 16" x 20" at 300 dpi. It took two days. (one evening for line work, one evening for color)
I had it printed, mounted, and coated and presented it as a birthday gift. She loved it.
Top Right Text: "Toshirogu Jyosefu" (Toschlog, Joseph) Bottom Left Text: "Okaasan, gohan no naki ni, tentakoru ga aru yo!" (Mom! There's a tentacle in my rice!)
