This drawing was completed in my Figure Drawing class at Ball State Univerisity. I originated a several blind contour (also knowns a pure contour) drawings on the same sheet of paper in crayon only. Then, many layers of prismacolor, paint sticks (you get these at farming stores), charcoal, crayons, pastels, and oil pastels were added. The entire piece was fixed to a piece of black matte board using spray adhesive.

Dimensions (without border): 18"x24"
Dimensions (with border): 22"x28"
Media: Prismacolor, paint sticks, charcoal (compressed), wax crayons, pastels, and oil pastels

.. it's beautiful... My emmotions are mixed, and I currently cannot assume what you, the artist, was feeling. Overall, love it, and keep up the good work. ^^

Well, as I read your comment, I have to admit that my emotions are mixed as well. I didn't really have any when I made it, I simply wanted to complete a fairly ambiguous assingment...but when I was finished, I quickly became attached to it. As you can obviously tell by looking at my home page...I very much enjoy blue. When I look at this, I get two, I imagine paintings/drawings that you would see in New Orleans depicting Jazz, and I also, due to the blue, and the person's head at the top, I picture someone sitting, staring, and waiting, and their thoughts are kind of pouring onto the page...

...but now I'm just reading into things. I'm glad you like it!

(Oh by the way, I looked at your gallery, kawaii desu yo!!)

Sorry it took so long to reply, I was admiring part of you gallery and your website.

Yea when I HAVE to do an art assignment not much feeling is ever put into them, only when I create them freely. I sort of agree to you last idea "...their thoughts are kind of pouring onto the page..." I dunno though, I have not reached my peak, or anywhere near, my mental abilities, so I am ignorant and unable to picture things aswell (plus my spelling sucks). Ok, I'm rambling. Thank you for the wonderful art.

--- gah! my gallery is crap compared to yours! Maybe I should upload my still life sketchins instead of my insulting attempt of anime.

Thanks for looking at my web-site, feel free to leave a comment in the guest book. (The link is on the main page along the bottom, to the left of the picture of me with the rapier)

However...if I ever tried to do anime, it wouldn't be good enough for me to be posting... :P for the rambling, I enjoy rambling. Most of the time, rambling is representative of where a person's thoughts are going without hiding them...and I like seeing what's in people's heads. (usually)

I hope you stick around a little while, I intend to be submitting for several hours tonight...
